Folsom Valley Railway has been in continuous operation since 1970. It is the only 12 inch gauge railroad remaining in the United States, and only one of seven miniature scale replica steam-powered railroads in public operation.
The GSP&P railway is located in Northern California. The first track was laid in 1960 for a one cylinder, vertical boilered locomotive known as the "#1". The #1 has been joined on the power roster by mogul #5 and Shay #7. The #5 and #7 are built to "5" to the foot" scale to simulate 36" narrow gauge railroading.

Travel Town was dedicated on December 14, 1952. The concept of a combined transportation museum and recreation center blossomed, and wishes for donations were generously fulfilled. In 1965, Travel Town's exhibits were re-grouped, and the park re-dedicated.

Welcome to OCME. We are a non-profit 501(c) tax deductible organization that operates a 7 1/2" gauge railroad at Fairview Park in Costa Mesa, California. Officially known as, Mackerel Flats and Goat Hill Junction Railroad, the club was founded in 1988 by a group of local railroad buffs. Currently there is over 5 miles of actual track winding through the park. A variety of trains run on the track and represent 1 1/2", 2 1/2" and 3 1/2" scale equipment.
